A lot of my customers aren’t aware that LED lighting is becoming more and more affordable. Or they still think of LED lighting as a bright white ‘in-your-face’ kind of option.
I highly recommend rethinking this. LED’s are now able to produce a warmer yellowish light if that’s the look you’re after. They can be soft or crisp, warm or cool and can even be used in accent lighting. They are energy efficient and use longer lasting bulbs. They also give off almost no heat which is an added safety feature.
On the downside there is a bigger initial outlay for LED lights. The Houzz website has a great idea to try out LEDs without this outlay: use rope LEDs and have an electrician install a power point where the LED rope lighting is plugged in to minimise cords and make them look more streamlined.
